And yet, you both demonstrate a positive attitude,
which others respond to. Yes, actions speak louder than words, but words
DO speak to others and influence their actions.
The opposite is also true. Many are virtually
paralyzed by hopelessness, and it IS possible to further discourage them.
Or, we can help influence them to positive action with both our words and our
deeds.
I was diagnosed as clinically depressed about ten
years ago and went through a bunch of drugs (didn't help), but I learned what
it's like to feel hopeless. I wish everyone could experience real failure,
so that they could understand why some people just can't pick themselves up
anymore.
No, words or thoughts alone won't get it
done. However, I submit that the thought is a necessary prerequisite to
the action.

beautiful thoughts to the world and all that jazz is mistaken, because
that's all about changing other people when we have so far to go in
