Hi Dawn-
We tried some more wood splitting today with a trailer load of citrus that was given to us. This wood is really hard, from old trees. Anyway the 8-10 inch branches split like a charm, but the 13 inch trunk pieces will not split. He has split lots of mesquite and some Juniper with no problem. It kind of slides around big knots instead of going through them.
We got the Ecofan for our new home that we will be heating primarily with wood- when we move this year. We put the Ecofan in a cast iron skillet on the stove and it started spinning right away- even after we took it away from the heat it kept spinning- for about 5 minutes. So no real experience with it.
Lauren
