Paul:
After the rye has decomposed, it's no longer allelopathic. The way around
it is to wait until that has happened before seeding into it. It doesn't
affect transplants, so you can plant right into it. It's wonderful for
giving you a headstart in spring--you can transplant into it and wait
weeks to do your first cultivation!
