Does anyone have experience living near grey foxes? My
neighbors report repeated sightings of a grey fox near
our shed in our back yard. We think they might be
living under the shed.
>From what I've read they will probably be harmless,
except to the giant local rodent population (chipmunks
who are tunneling under the house and garden, voles
who are eating the roots off all my plants).
Apparently they climb trees (the only dog family
member to be
able to do so), eat berries and small rodents, and
generally lurk around.
They're pretty small, and weigh less than my (slightly
overweight) Maine Coon cat.
Anyone? Please? I would like them to stay if they're
going to eat my rodents, but if they're going to cause
problems, I would actively discourage their presence.
