My guess is consumer demand is probably all that's going to decide the future
of food. My own focus is not trying to reform the corporate chemical factory
farms but promoting public preference for family farm organics and the
companion movement of local production for local consumption. A partial
listing on my page http://globalcircle.net/localfocus.htm . My research
shows local organic food is not only better but cheaper, and for millions of
people the economics of eating is the bottom line. Everybody can't drive some
distance for organic food which may travel a thousand miles to the organic
store.
