This
past Saturday I bought a PS2 at Best Buy. The POS clerk didn't remove the
security doohickey (an entire box-surrounding harness, not just a little
tag), and I had to show the receipt to the doorway goon to have him remove the
harness. I'm not sure what my real reaction to that is... At the
time it seemed easier to stomach since I needed the harness off (sure, a sturdy
pair of linesman's pliers would make short work of it, but by then I'd have
already set off the alarms on the way out), and he wasn't just simply asking to
search my belongings.. Now that I think about it though, maybe the cashier
should have removed it when the transaction was completed?
Thoughts?
