Journaling is focused on the person doing the writing. It is written for
their
own benefit and perhaps their close circle of friends.

Blogging is focused on the outside world at large. In my experience,
they're often written to satisfy the vanity of the author or as an attempt
to get people to visit their site.

If you wanted to think simplistically about it, journaling can be seen
as introspective while blogging can be seen as extrovertive.

Cheers,
Tanner
