there's others that are little blue blocks, they go on the end of the drive and just have a couple FW ports, but I can't remember the name or who makes them
but also, yeah, any FW enclosure would work for this

(3.5" or larger) for around $20-40. These provide a USB(2) interface;
slightly more expensive models add ieee1394 (Firewire). Intrex typically
stocks them, or you should be able to find them at your favorite online
parts supplier (newegg et al).
Basically these devices supply a case and the circuitry to convert from
the drive's IDE to (USB|Firewire). You're mainly interested in the
circuitry here, but you can probably just leave the case open during
operation for ease of swapping in a new drive. Just be sure to unplug and
power-down the device before disconnecting the connected drive.
