That film is towards the top of my list of worst films ever. Even far ahead
of anything featuring Pauly Shore, if that gives you any idea of my dislike
of this particular piece of trash. Having lived with Tourette's Syndrome for
more than 30 years, any movie that perpetuates false stereotypes of this
neurological disorder automatically earns my contempt. Sorry folks, but
regardless of what Hollywood would like you to believe, shouting profanities
DOES NOT equal Tourette's Syndrome. TS can manifest itself through any
number of symptoms, and coprolalia (uncontrollable uttering of profanities)
occurs only in very, very small number of cases. And then using this false
perception of TS as the one of the main vehicles for his jokes is not only
plain stupid, but also downright insulting. A "timeless classic?" 'Fraid
not.

If you want to know what Tourette's Syndrome is really all about, please
take a look at the Tourette Syndrome Association's web site at
http://www.tsa-usa.org/ .

Even if you don't want to read the entire site, please at least look at this
particular item:

Thanks,
Bill
