And it was revealed today another six children were killed in an airstrike the day before the above incident:

Its pretty clear the number of civilian casualties is increased because of the force protection policy and number of troops. Instead of sending troops on the ground to areas of Afghanistan under US control, you just drop bombs from afar.

The question I have from this: what is the moral difference between these two acts:

1. Blowing up a bomb intending to kill civilians.
2. Dropping bombs on targets where you don't intend to kill civilians but doing so is a frequent and acceptable side-effect?
