We have an electronically controlled electric smoothtop. We had a power
spike once that blew the main circuit board (actually it was the transformer
on the board). It was almost $500 to replace the board. We noticed the new
one has a little fuse...

er, you mean firewall. you wanna make sure your inner goods doesn't get
burned. burned goats head soap is not cool. as for RAM, even the gas
stove prolly has some for the controls. i'd leave it up to the embedded
systems engineers for the proper size and not worry about any upgrades
for fear of having to replace the motherboard.

if you do get gas, you can take some tums to get rid of it.

i would make sure the strangoven has Firewire, too!! Fast data
transfer is essential!!
