anyone else listen to NPR all day yesterday?
at one point, i swear i heard something about President Dumbfu^H^H^H^H^H^Dubya issuing tax credits to small and medium business owners who spend more than X amount of dollars (i think it was $75K, but...) ON A VEHICLE THAT WEIGHS MORE THAN 6000 POUNDS GVW?!?!?!? (thats gross vehicle weight)
essentially, this 'law' would encourage more stupid americans to buy fscking sport utility vehicles! and the "write-off" would be entirely in the first year of ownership, whereas it used to take years to depreciate such costs.
is anything improving? or are we on a sure-fire coarse for hell?
