I was surprised by some of the entries on this list. For example, Upper Darby Twp, PA was rated highly as a safe place to live. That's pretty close to where I live now, and it definitely wouldn't be one of the places that would come to mind for me as a safe place to live. There are other small cities just in this general vicinity that I would think of as being safer than Upper Darby, yet it is there.

And there are cities that are on the Most Dangerous list that are, perhaps, misranked. Not that I have hard numbers in front of me, but having spent some time in some of the cities mentioned, I'd feel a lot safer walking down the street in Atlanta than Camden (and how did Compton end up so far down that list?)
