Hey folks! Just curious if anyone got a bunch of spam from useless companies possibly attempting to defraud consumers? Oddly, all have been registered to US states, not EU or Asian companies.
RR won't confirm if their anti-spam server is working, or not.
It pissed me off enough to forward all them to both the NC AG, and the respective AG's where the domains are registered. I doubt much can be done about it, but it made me feel better, and if the AG's get enough consumer fraud complaints, just MAYBE in time they will have the teeth to shut the companies down, or at least fine them into non-existence.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the spam bastards spend some time in jail, but that is a pipe dream at the moment.
I read an article recently which reported 90% of the spam is sent by only about half dozen people. One person in particular is responsible for something like 25%, and owns a spam farm in a state with even more lax regulations than NC. I wish I had bookmarked the link.
