One suggestion is to try to find an older, top of the line 900MHz cordless
phone on closeout. You will probably even find a bargain, which is what I
did.

Not sure what kind of experience people have had, but I have heard that
cordless phones and wireless ethernet do not play well together. I avoided
the issue, so I don't know for sure.
