Kings is very cool. It is the main reason I ever go to Raleigh. The
collection of retro video games alone is worth a trip. They will be
having another Fallout Shelter Reunion Party next month (for those of
you who remember that illustrious venue of decadence). The Zombie Room
Goth Night is a lot of fun, too.
And for those of you who want to try the Guinness with a low-key
geek-appreciative atmosphere, my band* will be playing there on November
11. Yes, it's a Sunday, but at least some of you should have Monday off
for Veterans Day.
* Band=>the bill10n. www.tentotheninth.com. One chipmaker, one biotech
geek, one webserver geek. Playing with the ever-amusing Viva la Venus.
www.vivalavenus.com. They're better looking than us, but our lyrics are
funnier ;-)

She's dead-on about the bands -- I've only been to Kings once, but it
was
to see the Woggles -- we LOVE the Woggles. (And since then, they've had
other bands that I wanted to see, but there was scheduling trauma.
sigh.)
