Didn't say it was the answer to everything. Just said that it is a viable
alternative.

And not many of the html sites I've seen that rely on visuals look good on a
text only browser. And unless I'm designing a site that needs to be
accessed by my sister in africa, text only browsers aren't exactly a big
worry.

Not to mention, I've yet to see a text only browser with the flash plugin,
which means you can easily shoot the user to the text only version.
