Some friends of mine are putting together a "virtual office" and are
trying to figure out a distributed common phone system for the
arrangement. There seems to
be what are called Virtual PBXs, sort of a phone company's equivalent to
a
shared server at a hosting facility as opposed to have a server on site
(to
move this discussion into Internetworker terms).
They've also found a company called AccessOnline that has a system:
http://www.accessline.com/accessline/showcase/fo_showcase.html
But the company still doesn't have local phone numbers to distribute
--
after 6 months -- and the wait is getting too long.
Does anyone have any experience with a company that offers a similar
service with local phone numbers?
Thanks!
