I don't disagree with you about excellence. That's a given. But what I am
talking about is the cultural and racial makeup of the people on this list.
If there are other black folk in this biz locally, where are they? Who are
they? Do they know that we exist? Are we visible enough to be found?
That's what I'm concerned about.

This group won't end our social ills. But what we can do, besides drink
beer which I am in favor of), is perform some enriching activity. Maybe
help some kids build web pages or learn Linux... I asking for possibilities
to be a better community. Options are a good thing. Why don't we make some
for some kids?
