Although The Third Place does only serve vegetarian food, it is not a
"Vegetarian/vegan Restaurant TM" and the soy milk, unfortunatly, is not
normaly the default in their lattes, or their hot chocolates for that
matter. You typically have to ask for it. However, the folks at Third
Place do try to be vegan-friendly and provide an environment where
regulars don't have to specify vegan, if that is what they want. Perhaps
the counter folk mistake you for a vegan regular or for some other
reason think you want your lattes vegan.
