O.K., see Anders delurked and I'll bet he would tell you it wasn't painful at all :) Come out, come out where ever you are and tell us a little about what you are doing or hope to do.

Right now we are having VERY unseasonable weather. The norm is snow for Thanksgiving. We had something that might be identified as snow, if you looked REALLY hard, the week before turkey day. We've had a little rain but not enough to talk about.

With the weather what it is, I think I'll just keep trimming up and dividing strawberries. I am over run with strawberries. They are taking over. You guys in the southeast might be getting overrun by kudzu but I have the kudzu of strawberries! The blooming things have actually climbed up my raised beds and I have to keep pulling them out :)

Hello everyone!
My name is Anders Andersson and I have been on this list for a couple of years now.
I found it while searching for information on wood gas, there was a lot of discussions about that on here some years back. I can’t remember what year though.
I have learnt a lot from reading all the things that have been written about farming and growing,
And have become really interested in homesteading.
It's also been great fun reading all the stories you have shared.
I never found the courage to post anything before the list sort of died out, so I am really glad to se it come to life again.
A short introduction of myself: I am a 26 years old guy who lives way up north.
I was born and raised on a farm. My growing experience is limited to potatoes.
I drive a 1962 ih b160 which I am going to convert to run on wood gas, this is my main project right now.
I have just bought some old ww2 gasifiers that will hopefully do the job.
I am in the process of buying some land where I hope to build a house and settle down in the future, (maybe live entirely off grid). But for now, it means I will always have a place to collect firewood and hunt.
I hope to read more from the frequent posters and maybe there are some wallflowers that can drop a line too?
Warm Regards Anders
