Hey all,

I'm new to this aspect of the orchard. I've got 3 peach trees and a
nectarine loaded with fruit. I'm have the understanding that I should
thin the fruit to about 4 to 6 inches apart. That's a lot of thinning.
I took some off the nectarine today, it's a younger tree, ready to
bear, but not what it had on it. The peach trees are just loaded. To
get a fruit every width of my hand, I'm going to need to remove lots
of fruits. I'm sure that some of the fruit will drop naturally, also.

Anyone have experience thinning fruit off peach trees. Is it really
going to improve fruit quality? I can see limbs breaking off if I left
all these little fruits on.

Rob - Va
