Rob, your thinking got me thinking... and I tend to express these sort of
thoughts in a not so coherent way, so if it doesn't make sense, that's why.
I think it has to do with the notion that it is somehow 'bad' to be undecided
on anything. A state of flux is undesired, everything needs to be static - no
fence sitting, choose one side or the other, religious folks think their way
is the only right way, etc. To me, that's why it is hard to find a harmonic
place - because harmony would be a balance between chaos and calm, and that's
kind of like sitting on the fence, lol.
