Mine too. I got my oil-filled heatere very cheap: my sister gave it to
me because she didn't want it any longer. I use kerosene heaters for
heating a room I'm going to sit in only an hour or son (if your house
is tight, you might not want one, but I don't, er, have that concern).
I have electric base heaters upstairs in two rooms, and the hallway,
and they are pretty nice -- I ran the one in the hall all last winter
to make the cats happy, and it didn't raise my electric bill much. I
have to say that the cats prefer kerosene (but, of course, kerosene
heaters should never be left on if unattended by a sentient human). I
have a fireplace insert in the front room, and I'd love to have one
put in the room with TV, which has a fireplace (with a glass screen so
it's not entirely worthless -- just nearly so).
