I'd rather see the world respect our President. There will always be terrorists and people who hate this country. There's a lot to be said for a President that isn't openly stirring up bad feelings...actions like naming an 'axis of evil' can't be good for foreign relations. Being polite and diplomatic but having the guts to back up what you say (that part remains to be seen with Obama) to me is the image I'd like our President to have abroad. Having an intelligent and articulate President helps, too. That's just personality; actions and policy have to back that up.

This is something we have discussed here on the list-the popularity of
our President(s) around the globe. Cafferty makes good points, but I'm
curious as to y'alls opinions IF we can avoid talking specifically about
Bush or Obama as they are apparently polar opposites. If we don't
discuss specific personalities, maybe we can find some common ground.
