I recall that Money and probably others had an integrated program that could be used to file taxes...that might be a consideration. Like Don, I don't trust online companies. In fact, I don't do any kind of auto payments or bill paying online. I do it the old fashioned way with a checkbook and a stamp. For me, programs like Money and Quicken would be best for someone like my folks who pay their bills electronically. For someone like me, the time lost in duplication was important and in the end, saving that time is why I stopped using it. I guess I just like the paper trail, too. It is probably not the 'greenest' thing I do, but on the other hand, I feel that it is financially safer. There is something about having an invisible electronic hand having access to what little money I have that creeps me out.

I do not completely trust online software for something like personal
finance. What happens if their business model does not work as well as
anticipated? That happened with a popular photo sharing site several years
ago and when they closed thousands lost their photos.

Or what happens if they need to tweak the business model and realize that
they have a gold mine stored in those databases? Just think what Google
Adsense could do if they see you have been purchasing rabbit food.

I will keep mine on my computer using software that can be had in the public
domain and will keep multiple copies.
