I was thinking about this...you guys are both on a fixed income, right?
I think that makes a difference. Money enters your account electronically.
For us, DH get a paycheck that can vary by hundreds of dollars, once a week. I never know exactly when the bank credits those paper deposits because sometimes he doesn't get a test drive to deposit the check before 2 on Fridays.. It makes budgeting and regular payments almost impossible.

I still can't walk in the garden. Today was the first day that I could not see water standing, but I know I would still sink down if I went in there to really examine things. The closest I can get to the peas is about 50 feet away, and being nearsighted it is hard to see, but it looks like the English peas came through okay, but the snow peas might be a 50% or greater loss. I just have to hope for high yields from the remaining plants. At least snow peas aren't a crucial item, but they sure are good!
