According to the breeder (and she has good rep; akc , all that stuff; we were
among the first to have re-population of Irish Hunt Terrier. When I said AKC
registered, that was probably wrong.

She is one of the biggest breeders of Jack Russell Terriers in the country.
Very well known (and I can't remeber her name). Highly recommended by a vet
friend of wife -- not our vet (confusing).

There has to be a certain number before the AKC accepts the new (old) breed
. Irish hunt terriers are supposed to be the ancestors of all small
terriers? Anyway, we have some kind of registration, somewhere. I actually
called the AKC before hand and checked this woman out. The dog was pricey.

She weighs 12 lbs. She is tan, throughout. very much built like Jack
russell, but different. My previous dog was a rat terrier. I lost her a few
months before this dog came to us.

This dog is fearless to the point of stupidity. She also can get her
feelings hurt. Sometimes , I doze off on the couch, awaken to her grooming
my forehead like I am d*mn dog.

This dog has seizures. Both of the last two terriers were purebred. I
believe I will get a mix, next time, if I live longer than this one.. It is
difficult to watch her seize. We could give her phenobarb, but, once you
start, it is forever. Purebreds prone to seizures - don't know why.

I don't care about the registration, it was mainly for breeding; and we
decided at six months we didn't want her having puppies and had her spayed.
We tried to adopt from pound first, they never had small dog puppies. Never.
