Dad and Mom used them every year, Bev. They used the cardboard strips as batts, either stapled or tacked over the edges of the plastic. There were lots of holes in our interior window trim. Dad wasn't very handy, nor concerned about decor.

I spent a couple hours winterizing our son's camp yesterday. I had ripped pine batts for this purpose several years ago that are screwed to the exterior trim. The plastic was all but disintegrated. When we lived in that camp I would have removed it in the spring. Scott, like my father, is not very handy.

In the package with the sheets were cardboard strips. Each sheet came
with a piece of cardboard that had been cut into strips. I have no idea
of what to do with these strips...it's just thin cardboard..I would be
tempted to say it was just packaging support, but then each sheet was
encasing a sheet of strips. Nothing else was in the package.
I've heard of kits like this that are shrinked to the window. I have no
idea if this is what I have, or even how I would do that.
Can anyone give me a clue on possible instructions?
I can tape the sheets to the window frame, but I feel like I am missing
something.
