Drew, I bought my wife a new Honda in Januarary. It was not an altogether
pleasant experience. They asked us to leave more than once. My wife broke
down and started crying, at one point. But, I wouldn't leave and we came
home with a new car at exactly the price I wanted to pay.

It just took three salesmen and three or four hours. What really helped
was knowing 'exactly' the kind (make, modle, options) and using consumer
reports and other internet services to find out exactly what the dealership
had in the car (including the maufacture/ dealer discounts).

I paid a h*ll of a lot less than MSRP and what other people paid just by
being stubborn and refusing to leave

I buy new cars because we drive our cars forever. This may be our last car,
if it keeps well. Otherwise , I would have bought a 2-3 year-old , used car
