I was not considering the map to be based on the past...I was actually assuming (there's that word again) that someone in a white lab coat, armed with supercomputer and a brain twice the size of mine - had taken the time and trouble to predict the...er, um...gallonage (new word) of water that would be released in the event of total glacial meltdown at both poles. And calculate the way all that water would level itself out over all the continents. It obviously is more complicated than that.

There are maps like that, and you may have one, I don't know. National Geographic probably would be a good place to look for such maps. I know they have smaller area maps, like say NYC or SF..
When I
bought the map, it was a teeny inner voice telling me, "Get thee to the high ground". I have yet to investigate USDA zones or...

I believe that we all should listen to our conscious/intuition.
One thing I have learned though, and I will pass it along, is that it is very easy to be led astray. If for example, you hear a radio show about earthquakes in your area, then for a while afterwards, you will 'intuitively' feel the need to act. You might just know it is coming, but then it doesn't happen when your intuition has been right in the past and protected you.How much of that is true intuition and how much is fear motivated from what you heard is something only you can decide. I think one must really put media out of their head and just go on gut feeling and common sense. But I digress...
If you plan well and follow what you feel and maintain some common sense, you will be fine.

Other than the maps, what makes you think that you will need to relocate and what is your prime hazard where you are?
