I expect to get some soil analysis of our new place so as to become more smart about the "dirt" and what to do for it. We won't have a herd of cattle or more than a couple horses to get natural treatment from.
Recently I stopped by a monster lime spreader truck at the roadside. I had just finished spreading lime on a field. From that, I assume you can hire folks with such specialized spreaders and access to tons and tons of lime to do the job.
There IS a lime kiln near by here of huge size, but I have no idea what the situation is in New York.
