I relate well to James' reported routine of swinging his singing scythe for an hour or two in the morning and then laying up in the heat of the day and then doing something a bit easier after the sun gets behind the trees.

My current project is the first permanent garden bed of which I have long fantasized, then dreamed, and is now becoming reality. I cheated and broke the sod with Magnolia but now it is picking, shoveling and raking to prepare to pour the foundation, actually a mowing edge and standing footing at ground level. I am keeping notes and taking photos and some day when Don hopefully gets my Web site rebuilt will offer the results to those who are interested.

Someone, I think Wonder Woman, teased James about the age thing. He properly replied that he is still approaching his prime. I suspect I am slightly past my prime, although it is appropriate to note that a lot of experience offsets a little bit of age.

"Use it or lose it." All true. I am using and losing the extra Phoenix pounds and inches to do the things I love here at Heartwood. The pounds and inches are going down as the projects are going up.
