That is what I thought at first, but maybe I'm not explaining it well.
It kind of falters. It slows down like it is just going to die out.
The thing that makes me think it is the transmission is that the front
loader (works off the same hydraulics) starts to sag down on it's own.
If I take it out of gear and just sit there, the engine recovers. If I
put it right back in gear it starts to falter. I'll check out the
injector pump in the shop manual, though.
