BTW, the corn seed you gave me is growing nicely. That's my seed plot
for next year. I've still got some seed and may put in another small
plot in a week or so.

I agree with that. It's nice to not have those constraints. One good
thing about planting in fall is to get it done when there is time,
hold the soil in the winter and it makes a fast start in the spring.
I'll have to experiment with oats in the summer here, I'm afraid that
the heat and drought might be a problem.

Is there anything special to know about threshing hulless oats?
