On Discovery Channel...
5 groups of people spend 3 months in Alaska as a survival experiment.
They are given a small 200 sf cabin, some supplies and some food and weapons. Each group is in a different situation.
One group, a father and two daughters-college age or so- are on the coast and are seemingly coping the best, but they are driving me crazy with their whining about everything.
Another group is a dating couple who are in a canvas yurt type tent on an inland bay. They are not doing so well, no real food to be found and they are constantly seeing bears. I like this group the best because they were realistic and did all they could.
Group 3 is two men and a woman whose cabin is on a mountain lake. They were doing okay, having killed a goat and had quite a bit of meat, but they got bored and cocky and decided to take a 40 mile hike over a glacier to visit group 4.
Group 4 is a married couple who are in a cabin just off the glacier. They are suffering from cabin fever(interesting journal cam) because they are afraid of the wolves which frequent their cabin.
All in all, it's interesting.
They do have experts offcamera for survival(big guns) and health reasons. All participants are also checked weekly by a doc.
If you get Discovery, I believe there will be a marathon of the shows next Monday. Its worth watching just for the scenery.

Has anyone besides me been watching "The Alaska Experiment"?
I'm really enjoying it and was wondering what everyone else thinks about it.

Assuming this is on TV, I wouldn't be watching it as I haven't turned
on my TV except to watch videos in about 3 years (and then I only got
local stuff).

What is it and who's doing it?

Marie
