The real term is "Technically Recoverable Oil." Yes the oil can be brought
to the surface but at what cost? This oil is about 10,000 feet below the
surface and not in pools. Once at depth they have to drill horizontally to
break the oil out of the shale. No mater how many bbls they magically find,
the real issue is at what cost? If you think a sudden find of 4.5B bbls is
going to take us back to $1 gasoline, think again, more like $5.
