In my home town, there is a field that is one mile long. Not very wide. But I was told that a team could only make three passes in one day. Either because the day was done, or the horses were worn out, I dunno which.

Which reminds me, we have here a scythe blade. No handle. There was mention earlier here that American and European scythes are not the same. I suppose a scythe handle needs to be sized for the person, and the curves are not simple. And opposite for left handers?
