Gene,
How do I get to your website to see your home?
The only place I seem to be able to find has the Amazon stuff and your eco
village photos but not your home, by the way when I entered MO, Gene GeRue,
Heartwood into Google I got 26 items!

I don't recall that, but the small size is a big advantage in many
ways, not least in controlling heat and humidity.

Any chance of using a slide to bring wood in from the high side of the
slope? Back when I was using a barrel stove in the basement I built a
slide by cutting in half the long way a big diameter plastic pipe.
Suspended it above the outside basement steps and center-hung it so I
could swing it to aim into the basement.

I have in the past kept containers of water steaming on wood and
propane heaters. It helps, but is not enough to avoid dry, itchy shims
and elbows.
