Thoughts on buying 'premium' more expensive, but larger and hopefully
money and give them time. Wondering........
Their site says all they grow are blueberries. Oughta know their stuff. I would likely buy the two-year-olds for $15 each. Order four and get free shipping. Before ordering be sure to have everything ready for optimal planting.
I planted four or five blueberry bushes years ago. Through my frequent and extended absences all but one did not survive droughts. I figure it must really like its spot and really be strong. This last year when I went there it was a real mess, with old and feeble stems. I took a chance and mowed it to the ground. Up came fresh new shoots. I gave it a bit of sulphur and compost, then mulched carefully and kept its area moist. Looking forward to seeing how those tender young stems made it through the winter.
