Here is the response on the insulation question:

Dear Gene -- good to hear from you and thanks for your
interest in the Beehive oven.

The insulation material (a fire retardant rockwool,
used in fireplace insulation) between the two
terracotta domes enables the oven to reach temps. of
up to 1000 degrees inside, while not being hot enough
to burn one on the outside. Consequently the inner
oven dome heats quickly (ready to cook in only 45
mins.) while being slow to lose heat. It doesn't have
any health implications, and since your oven is
covered when not in use, there's no opportunity for
moisture to get in between the layers.

Please let me know if you have any further questions,
would like a shipping quote to have an oven delivered,
or would like to discuss by phone, at 1-866-305-2675.
Best regards,
Fiona

Hello, good people.

I like the looks of your clay oven. It gives me
pause, however, to
learn that there is a layer of insulation between
the clay layers. I
wonder about healthfulness and also about moisture
buildup inside.
What is the insulation material? How does one avoid
having moisture
build up in the inner clay liner?

Thanks in advance,

Gene GeRue

Am I reading this correctly?
It appears he did not completely answer the question. He said moisture could not get "between" the layers
but didn't respond to moisture build up inside the
inner layer.
