Soaking in buttermilk works great! When we lived in Baja that is how we saw it done.

Just like Bev said, i have marinated goat several different ways, and
then either in a pressure cooker or slow crock pot with onions, garlic,
and the ethnic flavors wanted. I have also had it BBQ'd in tacos and
fajitas, but don't know how they tenderized it first. Good in Tamales,
too!
