Van Dell -
Nope. Never slept on flour sack sheets. My late
mother-in-law, from Sonora, Mexico, used the printed
cotton flour sacks for making aprons and dishtowels.
The coarser ones, I'm told, were used before that for
the kids underwear (she had nine children, six of whom
survived...all born at home). When my kids were little
I used the sacks to make aprons, doll clothes for my
daughter, etc. And nowadays, at Walmart, I'm always a
little surprised at the price of "flour sacks".
