I am in the process of building one Ford Ranger from two.

The original Project Ranger was America's attempt to top the Russian's Sputnik (put into orbit just months after my birth in 1957) by taking close-up photos of the moon. Our first rocket had a fuel tank problem and blew up the launch pad.

My project Ranger began last week with a hole in the gas tank of the '92 I bought from a neighbor for $275. Of course it has other problems but not near as many as my '88 which if it was a horse would have been shot long ago.

As a mechanic I am a great gardener.

I'll stop my rambling and get to the point. Tank's swapped, the fuel pump isn't working apparently. I've replaced the fuel pump relay. Should I drop the tank back down and replace the pump? Is there a way to check it without pulling it or blowing it up?
