Lots of intentional communities are far less expensive, but it may involve a
move. For instance, we have several communities in Floyd, VA.
Some share housing, some have basic separate houses, some share income, some
allow you to keep your off-community income to yourself.
We've considered the same thing for ourselves. I love to garden, but not
solo, not for what I really want. Many hands make light work.
