Sorry. I don't have written recipes from the former Soviets.
I could probably get them.
They introduced us to extremely fine blinis (pancakes).
The bird feather which was discovered to not be sold in American grocery
stores, was to spread the batter very thinly.
The making of bread, at least by one Ukranian, was finished off by taking a
mouthful of water and spraying it out over the bread a few seconds before
removing the bread from the oven and slicing it. The idea was to give a
gloss to the crust and soften it.
