Interesting, yes. But the real religious component isn't so much whether the
climate is warming or not, but whether it is being influenced by human
activity.
But it does resemble a religious argument, to wit:
"The weather here is getting warmer."
"That's becaue of Global Warming."
"But the weather there is getting cooler."
"That's because of Global Warming too."
"The climate in this other place is staying exactly the same."
"That's because of Global Warming too."
"Is there ANY weather phenomenon that isn't proof of Global Warming?"
"No, they all are."
"What would evindence against Global Warming look like."
"There can't be any."
It all sounds a lot like the arguments for a certain religion being obviously
and undeniably the true one.
