Gene thought :

Except Toni's "Aha !" between " *Men* and men "
came when she was over 50 and finally "saw"
the difference between leaders and managers/
manipulators - which the patriarchal system
spews out helter-skelter - at the place where
she was then employed. Incidentally, this was
after I'd been dumped after over 30 years of
"marriage". Mine, not the ex's.

Now, considering my age, I would be
somewhere between contented and elated to
*have* a *Man* "clutter" 'my' homestead,
but there are so few *Men* out there that
I don't expect to meet any in my age group.
As for the rest of the "men", they aren't
worth the powder to oops ! never mind as
'husband' material.

I was pretty sure "edible landscaping" was not
a new thing when I 'read the book', just that
somebody had finally gotten around to putting
it in print.

Around here, there were enough folks interested
in fresh eggs that they "fought City Hall" (at a
time when dogs were still running loose and one
had to watch where one stepped on city sidewalks)
and 'convinced' "City Hall" that fenced in chickens
were better 'pets' than roaming dogs and cats.

Eventually a "scoop law" went into effect, with
condo/apartment owners rethinking pets ...

The cats thing is still 'up in the air', but a small
town is leading the way in "containing" them, too,
with the premise that if humans are not allowed
to trespass, why should cats have more rights ?
