When you finally pull up your "roots" and have
to be away from your truck for any length of time,
if you don't leave a dog in it, disable something so
it *can't* be driven away .... and 'arm' alarm
sensors with a more distinctive sound, like
somebody yelling *! FIRE !* That is the only
'cry' that *brings* 'ordinary' people 'to see' and
stirs them to actually do something, and not just
watch or ignore like what happened a few days
ago - a woman running down a busy street, two
guys chasing her, catch her, toss in the *trunk
of a 'chase' car* and drive off - while people
went on about their business listening to the
woman screaming "Call police, call police ..."
until the trunk lid slammed down.

Security is a concern that I have not totally addressed. I am working on
it and have some of the solutions here:
http://www.braingarage.com/Dons/Travels/Security.html

There is no such thing as absolute security but I hope to improve things by
heavy chests, locks, and cables. From reading posts on various forums and
lists, it is not a huge concern or a problem.

It happened in a mall parking lot. People are so fearfull that it is hard
to believe. I have travelled all over the world and can only think of a
few times where I was really worried. ONce was on the roof tops of Hong
Kong and another was when I pulled off the freeway in Los Angles to get gas
in the wrong neighborhood.
