\Quail occupy little space. Friend of mine in Orange, Texas who who was almost totally disabled by aurgeon malpractice (no compensation whatsoever), added about $300 a week by raising quail in half of the small front porch attached to his single-wide mobile home. The squab went to local hotels, the pickled eggs to local bar owners.
